500-year-old shark

When I was 17, I found an unhatched shark egg washed up on the beach. It looked like a strange, flat nut with four tails. I still often think about that discovery, as well as when I was creating the "Herkkiä olentoja" (Sensitive Creatures) art series.

A Greenland shark, for example, hatches from a similar egg and can live for half a millennium. What does life feel like after five hundred years lived in darkness, during which (because sharks cannot) you have not stopped even once?
