Tropical wetlands

Trough this painting, I wanted to explore what wetlands look like in tropical environments. In tropical peat swamp forests, the peat layer can be more than ten metres thick. These layers have stored vast amounts of carbon over thousands of years.

While we are used to seeing wetlands in the north as tranquil, open landscapes, in the tropics they can look like rainforests. Inspired by tropical peat swamp forests, I created a painting titled Tropical Wetlands.

Oak frame is included in the price.
