The work explores life at the Earth's most important source, namely where bacteria convert hydrocarbons into food.

At the hydrothermal vents of the seabed, there are white, black, and transparent smoking chimneys that release minerals to this side of the Earth's crust and enable the chemical basic elements of life. Life originally emerged here.
